A mouse, Cookies and crying

What a random title- well its not so random for my day. . .

To begin I need to say that yesterday I took Decker to the doctor and found out he has a virus that is in the same family as "Hand, Foot and Mouth"... he has a TINY rash/sores on his leg. But he has been having fevers over 103... so its been rough. He has been so fussy (with good reason) and I just feel so helpless! He also hasn't eaten any sort of solid food for two days- and its been a struggle to get him to drink milk. :( Stuart gave him a blessing tonight and I know that will help!!! Tomorrow will be a better day!

Okay, to go on about the title. First off- the MOUSE. Background- I hate, hate, hate mice- I think they are so disgusting and have tiny, nasty, beady eyes <insert body shivers here>. Well, today while I was taking the trash to our outside trash can --- a mouse freaking ran across my feet and I was in FLIP FLOPS! Needless to say I screamed and dropped the trashbag in the process. I debated if I should leave it there and just let Stuart take care of it when he got home or be brave and quickly pick it up and throw it away. . . I will just let you guys decide which one I chose. TOMORROW- I will be getting as many of those outside mouse traps as I can. . . Stu will have to be the one to check those or I may barf.

Cookies- Well, Carter has a book "How do Dinosaurs eat Cookies?" and we read it all the time. In the back there are two recipes for some cookies and he has been BEGGING me for weeks, maybe months to make them. He has been feeling a smidge neglected a bit this week- since Deck has been a little more needy than normal- so I decided today would be a great day to make them. It was a lot of fun to make them with him. As we were making the cookies he said "mom, I love making cookies with you" and it melted my heart just a bit.... He asked if we could do it again tomorrow. :) (Also one of the reasons he wanted to make cookies was because he wanted to take one to our neighbor Miya- she baby sits him and plays with him sometimes and let's just say she is his first crush... HA)

Crying- well let's just say that out of the four of us, only one of us didn't cry today.

Who is impressed that I did two posts this week? I know I sure am.

Till Sunday (for real this time) xoxo
