Ahhh- 2 weeks in this one...

I forgot to post last week... and now my memory sucks so much that the last few weeks are mashed into one...
So Stuart had to go out of town for work for the week of June 11- 16... I H-A-T-E it when he is gone. The days are so long - but I will say it helps me to recognize all that Stuart does around the house for me... and let me tell you, I am one lucky women. Stuart has got to be the best husband there ever was! NO MORE BUSINESS trips! ... Just kidding... but really. He got to go to Bryce canyon for a work trip--- and boy was it hot there. Such a beautiful place! I would like to go there one day! Stuart had been gone all of 2 hours when we had our first mishap of the week- I had decided to take the little ones on a walk to the park to get some energy out and as soon as we got to the park Carter fell and cut his dang lip open.... Thank goodness for amazing home teachers who dropped what they were doing to come and help me.

While he was gone the kids and I had a normal week. I tried to keep my house clean and play with my littles. I did get a bike and a seat for Decker so that Carter, Decker and I could go on bike rides. Its my new favorite thing, however going up hills SUCK and I am realizing I am totally out of shape. Dang it. MAJOR goal this week- get back into the habit of working out DAILY. Wish me luck.

We picked up Stuart from his office on Friday afternoon and he was home for a total of 30 minutes and then he and Carter went to Ophir Mountain to camp with some of our family. Decker, Sophie and I stayed home and cleaned the house and did grocery shopping. I know - I know- we like to live on the edge over here. Carter and Stuart had a ton of fun and Carter has been talking about the little dirt bike that he got to ride, and now he wants one. . . Thanks James. . . ;)

This last week Carter got to go to a fun Preschool "Adventures in Story-land" for 4 days. He cried EVERY time I dropped him off, but he had so much fun while he was there. He is going again this week and he is excited! It is also nice for me and Deck. I was able to get a lot of work done and Decker was able to run around the house making everything a mess and climbing onto everything- mostly the tables. . . gosh he just likes to keep me on my toes. Sure do love him. Both my boys bring me so much joy.

Carter still throws about 20, 30, 50 okay 60 tantrums a day- we are actually doing so much better with his behavior. He makes us laugh on a daily basis- although if I am being honest sometimes- we are laughing at his tantrums... Today we got one on video, and he was throwing a fit because Stuart didn't answer him. . . Oh man. But he loves his brother so much and it warms my soul to see them play together and giggle together.

Sophie. Ahhhh, sweet sweet sophie. She got fixed this last week. And the looks she has been giving me- let's just say shes pretty ticked off at me. . . but no puppies will be coming around here. :) She is a giant pill still. But the cutest little thing there ever was. She had a pillow on the deck that she would lay on- well. key word there is HAD. . . white fluff EVERYWHERE.

Stuart is my HERO. He works his BUTT off at work (putting in 45-50 hours each week) and then he comes home and works in the heat to work on our yard. I am so excited to say that we Stuart is near completion and it looks AMAZING! Once the retaining wall is up then we can seed for grass. Holy Hannah am I excited for that! He is also my hero for listening to me and putting up with my own tantrums... I was grumpy this afternoon because I was sad we never get to spend time with him on Sundays anymore and I didn't want him to go to a fireside so that we could have some family time. . . He didn't get mad or argue he just stayed home to play with me and the boys and I am just so lucky. SO lucky. I am glad that Stuart loves me enough to put up with me and all my mood swings. :/ At least I can admit it--- right?!

I just love my life. :) All the ups and downs... Come what may and Love it. And I DOOOO love it! :)

xoxo till next time!

"Honey"

Wahoo. I am on a roll. :) SOO this week- was seemingly boring, but looking back at the pictures I took- maybe it wasn't? Its been a fun week! Let's start out with my goals for this last week- well if you remember it was to read the scriptures with my boys every day-- sadly I only did this 2 days this week. SO this will be my goal for this week as well. My second goal was to make my bed every day- I am HAPPY to report that I did much better with this goal. I made the bed 5 out of the 7 days. :) But I want to keep this goal for another week as well. Wish me Luck! :) Carter tarter pants... He has said some pretty funny things this week. First and foremost -- he has started calling me HONEY. It drives me bonkers and he thinks it is hilarious.... Stuart thinks it is funny too... gah. Another thing is when he is playing pretend he refers to himself as Carter Turnbow. So I asked him why he was saying "Turnbow" for his last name and he said so he could be just like Grandm...

Update on Summer

Well- I did it again. I stopped posting, life got in the way. I can't believe how fast the summer went, I mean, really. I wish I could say it was because we went on super fun vacations and to the pool all the time... because that certainly is not the case. I am a pretty boring mom. :) We stayed home a lot and went on a lot of bike rides. I wish I would have gone swimming more with the littles, but I was too nervous to take them on my own. Both Carter and Decker love the water and have no fear- which makes for one anxious mama at the pool. The other part is I was not feeling well because of the pregnancy-- but I will do a separate post on that next. So we played a lot inside and worked on the yard. . . oh the yard! I just have to say that its looking amazing! All of Stuart's hard work paid off. The grass is coming in and is simply beautiful!!!! We have been clear to walk on the front and even mow it! The back is a little bit slower in coming ...

What would you do for a free cookie?

I just have to post this so I don't forget this. What I am about to relate is 100% true and I am, honestly, still in shock from it all. . . At the end of last week Carter and our little neighbor friend (he is a few years older than Carter) were having a great time playing. They decided to go and ride bikes. Now, since Carter is only 4, we really limit where he is allowed to ride his bike without a parent. (I know I am kind of like a helicopter parent- but he is ONLY 4!) So when the boys headed out I reminded him to stay on our street and out of the street and to let me know where he would be at all times. . . That last I knew- they were going to be at his friends house... So when his mom texted me and asked me to send him home--- you know me--- I went into FULL panic mode. Went outside and was looking up and down the street and they were no where to be seen. Now full panic mode was pushed into border line panic attack mode. . . So about 30  okay 8 minutes later here came Carter d...
