Well- I did it again. I stopped posting, life got in the way.
I can't believe how fast the summer went, I mean, really. I wish I could say it was because we went on super fun vacations and to the pool all the time... because that certainly is not the case. I am a pretty boring mom. :) We stayed home a lot and went on a lot of bike rides. I wish I would have gone swimming more with the littles, but I was too nervous to take them on my own. Both Carter and Decker love the water and have no fear- which makes for one anxious mama at the pool.
The other part is I was not feeling well because of the pregnancy-- but I will do a separate post on that next.
So we played a lot inside and worked on the yard. . . oh the yard! I just have to say that its looking amazing! All of Stuart's hard work paid off. The grass is coming in and is simply beautiful!!!! We have been clear to walk on the front and even mow it! The back is a little bit slower in coming in, but we did have better soil in the front, so that was to be expected! I can not wait to see what it looks like in spring, I think I will have to go and lay/roll around on it!
Carter has been in soccer since the beginning of August and let's just say I can not wait it to end. Carter is great at playing soccer, but he seems to hate it. He cries at every single game and wants Stuart or I to always go on the field with him.We have made a tiny bit of progress at each game, but not enough that its not a trial to go to each game. At one game we even let him bring momo (insert all the eye rolls now) to see if having his "comfort item" would help. NOPE. Heaven help us for the spring season. . .
In September Carter started going to preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays and he LOVES it. He talks about his friends there and all the things he is learning!
Decker. Oh sweet, busy boy Decker. He is such a ray of light. That kid is always happy, always. He is such a little stinker though. He still loves to climb on everything he can find- I am actually very surprised that he hasn't figured out how to climb out of his crib yet! Thank goodness. This next Sunday he sill go to nursery! WAHOO! :)
Stuart had to go on a 2 weeks trip to Yellowstone for work- those were long weeks. We missed him so much while he was gone! It was long for him as well- he was in SNOW!
I think that wraps up the big things of summer....
