I can not believe we have a 4 year old! Where does the time go?! I seriously can not believe he is four! Love him to death, but some days I swore he wouldn't make it to 4... let's see if he makes it to 5. Just kidding, but man 3 year olds are hard. Hoping 4 is not quite as hard- not as much sass and attitude.
Carter is so loved by so many people, he is truly one lucky kiddo.
When Grandpa Hoffman and Rebecca were here they gave Carter an awesome TMNT bike and it has already been used and abused, some days we go on 2 bike ride, he absolutely LOVES it. We only had the training wheels on it for like 2 days and then we decided they were doing more harm than good, so we took them off and he has been a CHAMP on that bike- better than me! :) The look on his face is truly priceless when he is riding it, he is so proud of himself, and I am too!
Carter has been asking to go to Chuckecheese for a very long time, and I hadn't been able to bring myself to go. . . I have had some nasty experiences there from when I was a Nanny. But we had asked Carter if there was one thing he could do for his birthday what would it be- and CEC was his answer... Let me just tell you, I was actually super impressed with this one. SUPER clean and well cared for. Both of my kidlets had so much fun, and I will admit that Stuart, Grandma, Grandpa and myself all had a good time. Seeing the pure joy in their eyes is something I will never forget! AHH to be a kid again! Carter had so much fun and has been asking to go back, pretty much daily. He keeps asking when G and G are coming to go back there... One day buddy, one day.
Friday night was so much fun to catch up with James, Em and Grey while the littles all played and had a good time playing at the splash pad! Its been so DANG hot this summer, I almost joined them in the water. Carter keeps asking when we can do it again! I love that we live close to family and that we can all spend quality time together. Thank you to everyone who has helped us celebrate in one way or another. :)
On his actual birthday, July 15, he woke up to a balloon and donuts. Then he was able to play all day- and our little neighbor came over and spent the afternoon with Carter. Such a fun day! Stuart was, of course, working on the backyard most of the day... one day that will be done!
Decker- well. He is still just as crazy as ever. He makes me laugh daily hourly. He has such a personality, and we are so truly blessed that he is in our lives. He even thinks he is funny, he will be talking (no one knows what he is really saying) and then he just giggles his little head off after. He is quite the little jokester, can not wait till I can understand the jokes that he tells me all the time. Next to telling jokes he love to dance his little tushy off and it makes me smile every time as well. We have started to have dance parties in the basement and its just so much fun. Carter and Decker dance and giggle for hours. The relationship that is forming between my two boys is so fun to watch. They love each other so much, but along with that comes the fighting and wrestling. :) Which is new to me. Having grown up with 2 sisters and one brother- there wasn't much wrestling or rough housing that went on. Occasionally Joy and I would start (mostly as a joke) to pull hair or ears-- but that was it. Its amazing to me what is just instinctive to boys- the car noises and rough housing.
Till next time
